A Bid Control Manager’s mission is to anticipate and mitigate contract risks related to customer bids in all phases of the Opportunity lifecycle.
The Bid Control Manager plays a critical role in the organization which requires a high level of coordination and communication with Executives and Experts throughout NAO. This role communicates and interacts with all business assurance functions to limit contract and delivery weaknesses and promote best practices. The Bid Control Manager is responsible to ensure the Rainbow Bidding process is properly executed, maintains discipline, relays GBU/SL governance and ensures quality of the content for proper Final Joint Authorizers’ decisions. The Bid Control Manager will participate in how the process will be applied, taking both business and control requirements into account for each bid within Rainbow Bidding.
A Bid Control Manager will provide management reporting across the GBU and follow up on key action items. Other responsibilities include conducting training sessions with the Sales community on the Rainbow process.
Major Responsibilities/Activities: – Scheduling of Rainbow reviews and invitations; ensuring appropriate attendance – Ensuring that the review documents are of quality, perform high-level checks on the business case and interact closely with all business assurance functions – Ensure that authorizers (i.e. GBU Service Line and Executive management) take decisions with the necessary knowledge – Moderate and capture meeting minutes – Tracking of action items and decisions – Ensure all review participants are trained on the Rainbow process – Management reporting – Ensure each deal is audit compliant Additional Requirements: – Have demonstrated communication skills to interact at all levels in the internal organization – Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills – Project management skills – Escalation management skills – Demonstrated leadership qualities and self-sufficiency – Should have excellent organizational and time management – Must be analytical, self-motivated and team oriented
