We are looking for a pro-active, and experienced Software Engineer. We offer a position in a dynamic and international environment in our Research and Innovation department to develop your carrier.  

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and document a new business critical software development for the Advanced Computing portfolio of Eviden R&D Spain.

• Ensure compliance with non-functional requirements, such as cybersecurity, maintainability, and performance.

• Set up and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with GitHub Actions.

• Write unit and integration tests to ensure high software quality.

• Review and provide feedback on Pull Requests from team members.

Education

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Must be resident or allowed to work in Spain, without any change in the visa status

Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience

• 3+ years of experience in Java web service programming.

• Proficiency with version control tools like Github or Bitbucket

• Expertise in Linux environments (RedHat)

Additional Knowledge, at least one of which has to be top-notch.

• 4+ years of hands-on leadership experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD.

• 3+ years of experience with database model/query optimization

• 3+years of experience with algorithmic optimization skills (finding shortest path in a weighted graphs)

Competencies

• Fluency in English. English level B2. French a plus

• Familiar with Agile methodology for SW development, preferably in an international environment.

• Strong personal soft skills sets: Communicative, enthusiastic, highly collaborative, proactive, self-driven.

• Ability and enthusiasm to learn new technologies quickly.
