Senior Account Manager – State Government, Federal Government and Defence

 

We are looking for a Senior Account Manager to drive profitable revenue growth in a targeted strategic account. The Senior Account Manager will develop high level relationships to serve as a trusted advisor and understand technology’s role in driving customer business outcomes.

 

Main responsibilities

As a Senior Account Manager across State Government, Federal Government and Defence you are responsible for the generation of leads and meet sales goals selling the Atos services portfolio across existing and new clients.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive profitable revenue growth for target accounts
  • Achieve assigned semester and annual sales/invoice targets
  • Develop relationships with key vendor partners to optimise joint selling opportunities within assigned territory.
  • Build market awareness of Atos through participation in local/regional industry events, organisations, and affiliations
  • Develop individual sales plan(s) (quarterly and annually) to support assigned sales target(s).

 

Expectations of the role

You will be expected to perform the following: 

  • Timely response to customer enquiries including but not limited to Request for Quotes/Proposal/Tenders
  • Accurate sales revenue forecasting & reporting
  • At all times represent Atos with a high degree of integrity and professionalism
  • Develop strong business relationships within the various decision-makers and influencers at all levels at each target account
  • Understand each target customer’s business model, map their organisation, and identify their unique technology needs
  • Develop, document, and execute account penetration strategies for assigned target accounts
  • Identify new lines of business within target accounts and introduce Atos value proposition to key decision makers
  • Collaborate on sales strategies, discuss account trends, advise changes within accounts and coordinate quotes and sales opportunities with service line business Managers.

 

Desired knowledge and skills

  • Defence clearance desirable, Australian citizenship and willingness to participate in and secure appropriate security clearance required
  • Defence, Navy, Army or Airforce experience
  • Complex consulting sales experience within IT services
  • Proven record of B2B sales success with over a minimum 7-years period (minimum) demonstrable experience in IT product and consulting sales
  • Excellent presentation and listening skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new marketing needs & strategies

 

Education-Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
