The opportunity

 

We have a fantastic opportunity for experienced Test Analysts to join our testing team. 

 

We have one 12- month Fixed Term Contract and one permanent role working on our Aegon Protection account. 

 

Our Change function exists to deliver controlled, effective change to enable the delivery of an efficient customer focused service for our Aegon client and their protection customers.  We have an extensive portfolio of change which spans a re-platforming programme, market and regulatory change, proposition and customer service improvements, small change and  IT “business as usual”  change.  The individual projects vary in size and complexity but all require the ability to safely test, deliver and embed change (IT and non IT) in a complex, regulated, operational environment.  The main function of the role will be to develop and execute test plans and scripts from defined business processes as well as functional and business requirements.   

 

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

 

  • Creating and executing test scripts, ensuring suitable coverage and taking a risk based approach
  • Carrying out testing to agreed time, quality and cost criteria as required by the business
  • Accurately tracking and reporting on testing progress and delivering within agreed timelines
  • Working closely with developers to achieve defect resolution
  • Working with clients, project team members and colleagues across the business to implement and deliver projects

Roles are UK wide but will require occasional (and post pandemic potentially regular) travel to Lytham St Annes in Lancashire.

 

Skills we can’t do without:

 

  • Experience of system and user acceptance testing on large scale projects working as part of a team
  • You’ll be engaging with people from right across the business including technical and non technical teams so strong communication skills are a must
  • Resilience with the ability to work effectively to meet deadlines and be self motivated
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

 

Skills we’d like:

 

  • ISEB/ISTQB accreditation
  • Experience of automation test tools, eg. Selenium
  • Experience of working in an agile environment
  • Ideally we’d like someone with a background in a financial services environment
  • Experience of using JIRA tool
