About the role:

We are currently looking for a Technical Engineer within the Data Center and Hosting practice to join a team of engineers working across all areas of Infrastructure, supporting our key customer’s estate and helping drive projects through to completion.

What will you do?

• Daily monitoring and maintenance of client infrastructure, systems and associated software
• Incident and request management
• Linux and Unix Server administration
• Install and test operating software and associated products in conjunction with application providers
• Opportunity to work on Infrastructure projects to upgrade, shape and improve the IT landscape

• RedHat 6, 7, 8, 9
• Solaris
• HPC Platform
• Rancher
• Kubernetes
• Ansible
• Red Hat Satellite
• McAfee / Trellis
• SCOM

Skills:

• 5 years experience of experience in Linux/Unix systems administration and management
• Working experience with Anti-Virus within Linux OS
• Experience with virtualization infrastructure – VMware ESX, Hyper V, including storage and networks would be an advantage.
• Understanding of Network & storage solutions in support of Linux environments
• Experience in implementing Automation
• Experience in supervising tools such as SCOM/Nagios
• A strong analytical solving approach
• DV clearance or SC clearance and prepared to apply for DV clearance from Day 1
• Innovative, effective, and driven when working individually or as part of a team
• Full ownership of assignments and tasks through to completion or resolution

Nice to have:

• Solid understanding of Active Directory
• Ability to contribute to the definition and structuring of projects
• Experience of working with Oracle and SQL databases
• ITIL Foundation
