About the role
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager – Broadcast & Media Technology to lead the delivery of technical projects across the broadcast and media sector. This is a key mid-level role for someone with both project management experience and a strong understanding of broadcast infrastructure and workflows.
You will manage the end-to-end delivery of broadcast and media technology projects, from gathering requirements to handover into service. Working closely with clients, vendors and internal teams, you’ll ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget, and to a high technical standard. Projects typically involve control systems, IP transformation, hybrid infrastructures and live broadcast environments.
This role is ideal for someone with several years’ experience managing medium-complexity projects and who can confidently lead delivery, coordinate multi-functional teams, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Where purpose meets career
-
Own mission‑critical delivery in live broadcast environments—leading projects that directly impact on‑air reliability and audience experience.
-
Shape the IP transformation journey—modernising routing, comms, ingest and connectivity with engineering‑minded problem solving and disciplined governance.

Grow your craft across diverse projects and stakeholders—backed by strong frameworks, tools and Unlimited Learning Opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
-
Lead the planning and delivery of broadcast and media technology projects.
-
Define project scope, schedules, budgets, risks and dependencies.
-
Coordinate resources across engineering, software, operations and support teams.
-
Manage stakeholder communication with clients, vendors and internal teams.
-
Ensure project governance, reporting and change control are followed.
-
Oversee successful handover into service and support phases.
-
Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery frameworks and processes.
Skills we can’t do without
-
Proven experience delivering broadcast or media technology projects, ideally in a systems integration, control, or infrastructure environment.
-
Strong understanding of the broadcast chain (e.g. routing, comms, ingest, connectivity), combined with IT knowledge.
-
Desirable: exposure to production, post-production, coding and mux workflows.
-
Experience leading small project teams or managing medium-sized projects independently.
-
Logical, engineering-minded problem solver, comfortable tackling both design and implementation challenges.
-
Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, budgeting and risk management.
-
Comfortable using common project and documentation tools (e.g. MS Project, including resource planning, Visio, Office suite).
-
Excellent stakeholder and customer communication skills, from operators to senior management.
-
Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, APM). Formal accreditation is beneficial but not essential with demonstrable delivery experience.
Skills we’d like
