PPM Operations/PMO Manager to support the PPM Head of Operations in overseeing the day-to-day operations of programme and project management functions, ensuring the effective coordination and delivery of key initiatives. This role involves managing team resources, optimising processes, and driving continuous improvement across all PPM activities.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Partner with the Head of PPM UK&I Operations to ensure operational standards, compliance, and improvement initiatives are delivered effectively.
  • Prepare and facilitate delivery, operational, and business review reporting—including savings, billability, utilisation, and timesheet management.
  • Coordinate resourcing and workforce management to support efficient project delivery across the portfolio.
  • Lead exception reporting for projects and programmes, surfacing issues and driving continuous improvement.
  • Support communications for the PPM UK&I team, including weekly round‑ups, All Hands Calls, and practice-wide updates.
  • Oversee key improvement initiatives, such as PM upskilling, data quality enhancement, and financial standards implementation.
  • Provide line management to approximately 20 employees, fostering a high‑performance and inclusive culture.

 

Skills we can’t do without

 

  • Strong PMO or PPM operational management experience.
  • Proven capability in reporting, analysis, and driving operational governance.
  • Experience coordinating resources and managing workforce planning activities.
  • Ability to influence, collaborate and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience leading teams and managing performance.

 

Skills we’d like

 

  • Knowledge of financial standards and project financial management practices.
  • Experience delivering improvement or standardisation initiatives across large teams.
