The opportunity

 

We are seeking an experienced PMO Manager to lead the delivery of Project Management Office (PMO) services across projects, programmes, and portfolios within the UK&I PPM function, and to help drive the standardisation and consistency of the PMO service catalogue across all UK&I accounts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring robust governance, accurate reporting, financial control, and effective resource management, while supporting delivery teams and driving continuous improvement across PMO services.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Ensures PMO governance, reporting, RAID management, planning, and resource management processes enable successful delivery against agreed contractual and business objectives
  • Drives the continuous improvement and standardisation of PMO processes, tools, and methodologies
  • Provides expert guidance to account and programme leadership on governance, risk exposure, planning, and performance visibility
  • Leads and oversees PMO reporting across programmes and/or accounts, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment to stakeholder needs
  • Mentors and supports PMO team members, fostering capability development and high performance
  • Ensures all PMO outputs are insight‑driven, decision‑focused, and fully compliant with PPM organisational standards and controls

Proven experience delivering PMO services within complex project or programme environments

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines
  • Leadership and team development
  • Financial and commercial awareness

  • Knowledge of PPM tools (e.g. OneProject, RAID tools, financial systems)
  • Relevant project management certifications (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP, Agile)
  • Expectations of a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem-solving and effective communication in formal and informal settings

 

Additional Requirements

 

  • Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain SC clearance
  • Location: UK-based. Remote working is available, with national mobility required
