HPC Applications Engineer

Benchmarking activities, code optimisation, participate in the response to HPC calls for tenders. Forecast and guarantees the performance of customers' scientific applications on the proposed supercomputers. Provide on-going or ad-hoc code porting and optimisation working as one with the customer, often at the customer site.

o    HPC and Linux environments: batch scheduler, parallel programming, parallel file systems, high performance, low-latency interconnection networks, etc.
o    Programming languages C/C++ and Fortran, Cuda, OpenAcc, MPI, OpenMP, Intel OneAPI, GNU, PGI

o    Job Schedulers: Slurm, PBS Pro
o    Application optimisation
o    Profiling and performance analysis tools.
o    Scripting in bash and Python

Directly attached to the Team Manager, surrounded by passionate and attentive experts, your missions will be multiple:

o     Analysis of the need and the applications proposed in the call for tenders by the client
o    Search for the architecture (with existing or future technologies) of supercomputers best suited to the needs of our customers
o    Forecast and/or Extrapolation of application performance on the proposed technologies
o    Search for the optimal software environment for scientific applications (compilation, execution, placement of computational processes, tuning of linux, tuning of parallel libraries, etc.)
o    Tuning of applications on targeted architectures
o    Code porting
o    Writing performance reports
o     Presentation of our commitments and defence of our offer in front of our customers
