META GBU Procurement and Supply Chain Manager for Africa (French Speaking)

 

Location: Morocco, Egypt, Senegal, Turkey

 

Are you an experienced procurement professional with a passion for strategic sourcing and supplier management? Do you excel in a dynamic, international environment and have a track record of delivering significant savings and value? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

 

Main Purpose of the Job:

As a Lead Buyer, you will drive a step change in savings and value for our entity, aiming for a minimum of 6% annual improvement. You will work closely with Category Managers, Global Lead Buyers, and key stakeholders to identify and implement global and local actions. Your role will encompass the entire procurement process, from writing specifications and running tenders to negotiating contracts, monitoring supplier performance, and driving continuous improvement and innovation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and integrate global and local actions with Category Managers and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure the integration of purchasing activities with other functions and operations.
  • Contribute to the global purchasing network by participating in or leading teams and actions.
  • Define and implement local purchasing strategies and action plans to achieve savings and value creation.
  • Act as a Procurement Solution Responsible, providing end-to-end support for bids.
  • Proactively manage workload with minimal supervision.
  • Build positive working relationships inside and outside the department.
  • Implement and monitor compliance with Group Procurement Policy and P2P processes.

Subordinate Management:

  • Oversee 1 Buyer and manage cross-country team interactions.

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Manage a spend of approximately 35 M€ per annum.

  • Operations, functions, and key users concerned by the segment and actions
  • Atos Global and GBU Purchasing team

  • GBU Countries (Morocco, Senegal, IC, Algeria, Gabon, Madagascar)

  • Category Managers
  • Lead Buyers
  • Other Lead Buyers in country teams
  • Other key stakeholders and functions

External:

  • Suppliers
  • Partners/Alliances
  • Other companies for benchmarking
  • Customers (as needed for bids)

Main Activities and End Results:

  1. Develop and execute strategies and action plans aligned with key stakeholders.
  2. Collaborate with Global Purchasing to maximize savings and value.
  3. Support local sales projects and bids, ensuring early procurement involvement.
  4. Conduct risk analyses and prepare for supplier negotiations.
  5. Manage post-contract supplier relationships and monitor performance.
  6. Identify and evaluate potential future suppliers.
  7. Monitor P2P compliance and communicate savings contributions.
  8. Contribute to Africa logistics operations from a procurement standpoint.
  9. Liaise with Alliance Management to ensure strategic alignment.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proficient in strategic sourcing, logistics and supply chain, demand management, stakeholder management, communication, customer focus, project management, negotiation/contract management, and supplier performance management.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Effective prioritization and resilient in balancing diverse perspectives.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, including proficiency in Excel.
  • Education: Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, ideally with a specialization in Purchasing.
  • 6-7 years’ experience in a similar procurement environment with a focus on IT hardware, software, and services, including multi-country logistics and supply chain processes.
  • Native in French and very fluent in English is mandatory.
