We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Buyer to join our dynamic and international team. In this long-term role, you will be responsible for driving strategic sourcing initiatives and delivering cost savings across IT, Indirect Procurement, and Logistics categories. You will work closely with global and local stakeholders to enhance procurement performance, optimize supplier relationships, and contribute to cross-functional projects that support our global business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve at least 6% annual cost savings or added value by leading both global and local procurement actions.
- Collaborate with Category Managers, Global Lead Buyers, and local teams to identify and implement purchasing strategies.
- Support internal teams in writing specifications, managing tenders, negotiating with suppliers, and finalizing contracts.
- Monitor and improve supplier performance, ensuring high standards in cost, quality, lead times, and service.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in the supply base.
- Simplify procurement processes through long-term contracts and supplier consolidation.
- Stay updated on best practices across the company and industry.
- Participate in or lead cross-category or cross-entity procurement projects.
- Align purchasing activities with other departments and operations.
- Define and implement local purchasing strategies that meet Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and value goals.
- Provide full procurement support for bids and ensure early involvement in projects.
- Manage workload independently and effectively prioritize tasks.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across teams.
- Ensure compliance with Group Procurement Policy and regularly monitor purchase-to-pay (P2P) performance using KPIs.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, particularly in IT and Indirect Procurement.
- Good understanding of logistics, supply chain, and demand management.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and customer-focused mindset.
- Skilled in project management, negotiation, and contract drafting.
- Experience in supplier performance management and supporting pre-sales/bid processes.
- Comfortable working in cross-functional and multicultural teams, both as a member and a leader.
- Ability to balance competing priorities, work independently, and maintain resilience under pressure.
- Proactive, analytical, and results-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Excel (building models, reports, statistics) and familiar with procurement tools and processes (BtP).
Education & Background:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Business, or related fields, ideally with a specialization in Purchasing.
- Minimum 5–6 years of experience in a procurement role, with a focus on IT Hardware, Software, Services, and areas like Real Estate, Facilities Management (FM), and Professional Services (PS).
- Experience working with multi-country logistics and supply chain processes.
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in English is required.
- Fluency in French is nice to have.
