Responsibilities:

You will experience real world cyber security threat alerts and will monitor for these security threat alerts, analyse them and notify customer.

You will be trained on how to work on Security Operations Center (SOC) operations, routine maintenance, etc.

University studying over Richmond VA Area
Requirements:

Currently enrolled in Bachelor's Degree in Information Technologies, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field

Minimum GPA: 3.0

Good knowledge of cybersecurity principles, tools and devices, and a real passion for career

Insanely curious, analytical, and loves solving problems

Willing to work based on project needs and deadlines

Willing to work onsite in Reston for up to 28 hrs / week
Preferred:

Cybersecurity experience gained from previous internship, school projects, clubs, etc.

Basic – Intermediate Theorical knowledge of

Operating Systems, Active Directory

Network Technologies (Firewall, Proxy, DNS, NetFlow)

Cloud vs Data Center
-
Network communications and routing protocols (e.g., TCP, UDP, ICMP, BGP, MPLS, etc.)

Common internet applications and standards (e.g., SMTP, DNS, DHCP, SQL, HTTP, HTTPS, etc.).

Usage of MS Excel for data analysis.
