We are seeking a Senior Application Developer who will design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-native web applications and APIs using Microsoft Azure and the .NET stack. The role requires hands‑on experience with Azure App Services and Function Apps, strong proficiency in .NET Core and Blazor, and deep knowledge of data access via Entity Framework and SQL Server. The successful candidate will drive best practices in architecture, CI/CD, observability, security and performance, and mentor more junior engineers.

5+ years .NET & azure developer experience (.NET core, .Net Blazor, Entity Framework)
Key responsibilities:
- Develop backend services (.NET Core) and interactive UIs with .NET Blazor.
- Build serverless components (Azure Function Apps) and host apps on Azure App Services.
- Implement data access with Entity Framework and SQL Server; optimize queries and migrations.
- Implement monitoring and alerting with Azure Monitor / Application Insights; troubleshoot production issues.
- Participate in analysis, system design, design reviews, code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
Required skills:
- 5+ years building enterprise applications (3+ with cloud/.NET preferred); proven production deployments in Azure.
- Recent experience with medical records/clinical data processing systems built using azure cloud, .Net and Blazor.
- Azure: App Services, Function Apps, Azure Monitor / Application Insights
- Azure DevOps: Git
Educational Background and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Note:
Candidates must be based in Central Scotland. In exceptional cases, we may consider applicants from across the UK; however, they must be willing to travel with a maximum of 1 day per week in the office Central Scotland as required. The successful candidate should hold or be capable of obtaining BPSS clearance.
