Role Overview:
Atos BPS Limited / BTS is a growing division with an expanding Financial Services footprint. The role of Monitoring & Assurance Manager is pivotal in driving risk maturity across the BTS business. It provides independent, holistic opinions on Conduct, Compliance, and Regulatory Risk effectiveness, ensuring Atos BPS meets strategic goals.
The role is responsible for identifying areas of actual and potential regulatory risk, both for Atos and its clients, and ensuring that appropriate procedures and controls operate within the business to mitigate and control these risks. This is achieved through regulatory advice, oversight, and the delivery of a compliance monitoring program.
Practical Requirements:

This role is available UK-wide, however, regular travel to Edinburgh may be required.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead in embedding the Compliance, Conduct, and Regulatory Risk framework, tools, and mechanisms to ensure effective regulatory compliance.

Conduct monitoring reviews in line with the monitoring schedule.

Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal regulatory risk controls and recommend improvements.

Assist in the design and operation of Compliance Monitoring plans in accordance with regulatory and company-specific requirements.

Follow up on non-conformities through resolution, including escalation to the Senior Management Team.

Identify, analyze, and monitor regulatory changes that could impact on the firm and its clients.

Support the identification of potential or actual conduct and compliance risks and ensure appropriate escalation, remediation, and mitigation.

Promote a culture of Conduct and Regulatory awareness across BTS and supporting services.
Competency and Skills:
-
Strong experience in a compliance, conduct, or risk management role, with the ability to influence business stakeholders.

Experience in regulatory environments, particularly within Life & Pensions business and/or Pure Protection.

Strong knowledge and understanding of FCA regulations and conduct risk management principles.

Familiarity with the Risk operating environment, associated policies, procedures, and protocols.

Excellent written communication skills required for producing detailed reports.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.

Ability to build constructive relationships with clients and risk colleagues.
-
Ability to devise and present solutions to identified regulatory issues.
-
Proven organisational and planning skills.
Essential / Minimum Criteria:
-
Demonstrable knowledge of FCA rules and principles.
-
Experience working within an FCA-regulated or ‘shadow’ regime.

Product knowledge relevant to Banking, Life & Pensions, and/or Pure Protection.

Understanding of wider legislative and regulatory environments, including Data Protection regulations.
