Job Purpose:

The DC Operation Manager is responsible for the operation of the entire data centre and ensure support for the other departments for the smooth running of Data Center organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Managing Electrical System major / shutdown maintenance including UPS, Switchgear, Generators
  2. Supervising & Physical attendance during the Maintenance of above-mentioned Electrical Systems as per the approved schedule [including nighttime & public holidays]
  3. Presenting & demonstrating the Customers regarding DC Operations, Processes & Policies
  4. Managing installation Projects. Follow-up with vendors for deliveries and Monitor the Project Implementation.
  5. Responsible for preparation review and final approval of MOP, SOP and EOPs as per manufacturer recommendations.
  6. Responsible to review PMs through CAFM and notify the customers regarding the Planned PMs by identifying RISK, IMPACT, MITIGATION and ROLL BACK PLAN.
  7. Responsible to Prepare a list of Spare parts, PPE and tools required during PPMs.
  8. Responsible for Implementing PPMs as per SOPs and MOPs and Maintain Quality checklist for Yearly and 3Ms PPMs. HSE monitoring and Reporting.
  9. Tracking & scheduling Calibration.
  10. Send equipment’s for calibration. Update and upload Calibration log in library.
  11. Scheduling PDM & Performing PDM [PDM embedded with PPM].
  12. Review PdM log and evaluate Asset Condition. Responsible for PdM Log update.
  13. Responsible for Customer notification.
  14. Ensure data logging.
  15. Ensure PAT / 3rd Party test certificates validity.
  16. Review requirement of Change in Maintenance. Raise CR for any changes required & Implement the Approved Change
  17. Managing new Customer Installations (Cables, Cold Aisle Cages, Cages)
  18. Managing feasibility and RFIs for new Customer
  19. Review and develop DC Process and Policies
  20. Prepare and present periodic operational report as per the DC requirements
  21. To look into incident reports, responsible for RCA and follow up with vendors till final rectification or for Change request based on vendors recommendations and maintain all records in the library.
  22. Responsible to maintain and record up to date Capacity Management Reports for both Power and Cooling. Prepare Power consumption report and Monthly Reports.
  23. Make sure all the staffs, Facility team and security adhere to the Access Process.
  24. Responsible for Training Programs, QHSE and Toolbox training to Staff.
  25. Inspection and Validating the Work Completion, HSE and Quality Control.
  26. Internal Audit for all Processes and SLAs
  27. Backup for SENIOR OPERATIONS MANAGER

Skills Required:

  1. In-depth knowledge on data center operations and processes.
  2. Recent hands-on knowledge on hardware and software of server and network installation and troubleshooting across multiple vendors
  3. Experience in Incident management
  4. Solid data mining/analysis skill.
  5. High literacy in security and customer data protection.
  6. Solid communication skill set (decision making, confrontation management, commitment, coaching the team)
  7. Fluent English verbal and written proficiency.
  8. Project Management skill.

Qualifications:

  1. Electrical / Mechanical Engineering Degree.
  2. Minimum 10 to 15 years of Customer, vendor & contractor management experience.
  3. Knowledge of Datacenter MEP Infrastructure: Power, Cooling & Facilities Management.
  4. Experience in IT security

Other Requirements:

  1. Strong technical background, preferable include practical and hands-on.
  2. Need to be quick decision maker in case of emergency.
  3. Need to be available 24x7x365, on call (if required)
