Hardware Specialist 1

Position’s Primary Duties and Responsibilities (with associated % of time typically spent in each aspect of the role to total up to 100% of their time):

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Installing hardware in the data center • Maintaining hardware related output queues (incident, service request, change)

• Basic troubleshooting (incident management) of hardware related problems

• Follow all data center and hardware related processes and procedures

• Assist in maintaining CMDB and Rackwise

• Perform Cabling for installs

• Perform Media Services functions

• Vendor management at the site – escalations, escort, assistance in troubleshooting

40% Installation of hardware and break/fix

20% Incident management

20% Cabling

10% CMDB Maintenance, shipping/receiving

10% Media Services
