The role

 As an Onsite Support Engineer, you will provide hands-on and remote IT support across multiple customer campus and remote locations, ensuring high-quality service delivery and resolution of technical issues within agreed SLA targets.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure end users are provided efficient and timely second level BAU support daily
  • Responsible for meeting operational Service Level Agreements
  • Liaise with Service Management and other IT teams to ensure business continuity, providing “smart hands” whenever necessary
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by Desktop Operations Manager to ensure smooth running of the business
  • Solve problems related to On Site Services responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance and adherence to various security measures implemented on the Customer Site, account and within ATOS
  • Monitor Service Now queues for Incidents, Request, Changes & Problems - ensure that tickets are updated in full compliance with ticket handling standards
  • Project a positive and professional attitude of Digital Workplace teams
  • Maintain competency and enhance professional growth and development through continuous learning & education
  • Attendance of technical meetings where required
  • Assess and implement installations, moves, additions, changes and decommissions / disposal (IMAC/D)
  • Work with projects when required as time allows, and report back with time spent on different WBS codes to recover the costs
  • Resolve problem situations in a professional manner; support / Repair / Replace any hardware as needed; asset management of the business’s IT kit

  

Skills we can’t do without

  • Experienced in working in a team-oriented, collaborative and customer-facing environment.
  • Excellent customer service, written and oral skills
  • Ability to manage and execute multiple high-priority tasks in a fast-paced highly technical IT environment
  • Maintain user self-help, technical and procedural documentation
  • Knowledge of Service Now; knowledge of various operating systems such as Windows 10 /11
  • Knowledge of end user hardware (laptops, desktops, mobile phones)
  • General understanding of Windows Server architecture & roles (nice to have)
  • Understanding principles and terminology of networking
  • Experience and working knowledge in Microsoft Active Directory Domains.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience with the management and support of Microsoft Exchange, Office, Office 365, Teams, SCCM, Intune and other common tools
  • Knowledge of wireless networking components and terminology; knowledge of Microsoft Deployment Toolkit / Automated Deployments / PXE
  • Knowledge of PowerShell; Understanding of ITIL processes
