Are you passionate about technology and looking for an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge hardware and software? We are seeking a skilled Hardware Technician to join our dynamic team in the North Area. If you have a knack for troubleshooting and a desire to work with top brands, this is the perfect role for you!

Location: Santiago de Compostela (Hybrid Work Model)

 

About the Role: As a Hardware Technician, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of hardware and software for servers and storage from various leading brands such as HPE, IBM, DELL, NetApp, EMC, and Sun. You will also manage services and virtual machines on the VMware platform, using a range of management and configuration tools.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain hardware and software for servers and storage.
  • Manage services and virtual machines on the VMware platform.
  • Utilize management and configuration tools (GSP, MP, ILO, RSA, MM, DRAC, ASMI, HMC).
  • Perform hardware element changes, microcode updates, and patches.
  • Analyze logs to identify causes of failure.
  • Manage and configure servers and storage.
  • Handle RMA management.
  • Use hardware and software manuals in English fluently.

Requirements:

  • Higher Technician in Computer Systems Administration or equivalent.
  • Experience with HP, HP-UX RP/RX, Superdome, Proliant, Blades P&C Class, Storage EVA, multi-brand HPC switches, Dell Poweredge, Fujitsu Primergy, IBM switches, XSeries, Pseries, Lenovo switches, Huawei Server, Oceanstorage Storage, NetApp FAS, E-series, EMC Unity, Powervault.
  • Certifications in hardware and system environments such as DELL, HP, NetApp, CISCO, IBM, HUAWEI, Juniper, ENC, FUJITSU, SUN are valued.
  • Proficiency in VMware, LINUX, and Windows Server environments.
  • Technical English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Senior Technician in Computer Systems Administration, Licensed or FP.
  • Experience with NetApp, Huawei, Dell Storage Equipment, IBM, XSeries, Pseries, Iseries, Nseries, Zseries, Mainframe Robotics, Dell, Fujitsu, HPE, Huawei Servers.
  • Certifications in HPE, DELL, NetApp, CISCO environments, virtualization, and CCNA are valued.

Additional Information:

  • Teleworking: Hybrid model.
  • Availability to travel within the northern area.
  • Working hours: Monday to Thursday from 8:30 to 18:00, Friday from 8:00 to 15:00 with half an hour of flexibility. July and August from 8:00 to 15:00 with half an hour of flexibility in entry and exit.
