At Atos, we are seeking an experienced Senior Risk Manager Technology Risk and Transformation to join our growing Risk function. This is a unique opportunity to play a leading role in overseeing major technology transformation and migration programmes while helping shape the future of AI risk management and governance.

You will provide strategic oversight and independent challenge across technology risks, controls, security, and regulatory compliance, working closely with senior stakeholders across Technology, Risk, Security, and Programme Delivery.

This role offers the chance to contribute to a high-profile AI transformation programme, helping ensure AI is implemented safely, responsibly, and in line with emerging governance standards and regulatory expectations.

The Opportunity

This role sits within the second line of defence (2LOD) and is focused on providing independent oversight across technology transformation, IT migration programmes, operational resilience, cybersecurity controls, and emerging AI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Technology Risk Oversight

• Lead high-profile technology risk oversight engagements across critical transformation initiatives.
• Provide independent challenge and assurance over technology, operational, security, and change risks.
• Assess the design and operating effectiveness of key technology controls.
• Identify control gaps, weaknesses, and remediation opportunities.
• Evaluate governance arrangements and support continuous improvement of the control environment.

IT Migration & Transformation

• Oversee major IT migration and transformation programmes.
• Review migration plans, testing strategies, deployment approaches, and cutover readiness.
• Monitor programme risks, dependencies, milestones, and control effectiveness.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, regulatory requirements, and security standards.
• Provide assurance throughout the full transformation lifecycle.

AI Risk & Governance

• Help shape the organisation's AI risk, governance, and control framework.
• Support the safe and responsible adoption of AI and Agentic AI technologies.
• Design and implement controls that enable AI to be used in a reliable, secure, and compliant manner.
• Develop assurance approaches for emerging AI solutions and transformation programmes.
• Influence how AI governance evolves across the business.

Security, Risk & Compliance

• Partner with Cyber Security, Information Security, Financial Crime, and Data Protection teams.
• Ensure security controls are embedded throughout transformation programmes.
• Assess compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, including FCA and GDPR obligations.
• Support audit and assurance activities through evidence gathering and risk assessments.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and programme stakeholders.
• Present risk insights and assurance outcomes to governance forums and committees.
• Build strong relationships across Technology, Risk, Security, and Delivery functions.

What We're Looking For

• Essential Experience
• Strong background in Technology Risk, IT Risk, Technology Controls, Technology Audit, or Technology Governance.
• Experience overseeing large-scale technology transformation programmes.
• Experience assessing risks and controls within IT migration environments.
• Proven ability to provide independent challenge and assurance within a Risk, Controls, Audit, or 2LOD function.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Ability to communicate complex risk concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

AI Experience & Mindset

We recognise that AI governance is a rapidly evolving area. We are therefore particularly interested in candidates who demonstrate:

• A genuine interest in AI and emerging technologies.
• Proactive learning and curiosity around AI risk, governance, and controls.
• The mindset and attitude to help shape new frameworks in evolving environments.
• Experience creating, improving, or building governance, controls, or assurance frameworks from scratch.
• An ability to balance innovation with effective risk management.

Desirable Experience

• Financial Services or other highly regulated sector experience.
• Knowledge of FCA, GDPR, Operational Resilience, or related regulatory frameworks.
• Experience supporting cloud migration or enterprise-wide transformation programmes.
• Understanding of AI governance, responsible AI, and emerging technology risks.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISSP, CGEIT, or equivalent.
