Role Description

As a Senior SAP ABAP Consultant, you will be responsible for leading and executing SAP ABAP development projects, providing technical expertise, and ensuring the successful implementation and delivery of SAP solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze complex business requirements, design robust technical solutions, and guide junior team members.

What You’ll Be Doing

Core Responsibilities

• Lead and manage SAP ABAP development projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, deliverables, and quality standards. (remove this )
• Collaborate with functional teams and business stakeholders to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design and develop SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms to meet business needs.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members, reviewing their work, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure best practices are followed in SAP ABAP development.
• Perform advanced debugging and troubleshooting of complex SAP ABAP programs and provide solutions to technical issues.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, understanding their needs and providing effective technical solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement integration solutions using technologies such as IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and Web Services.
• Work closely with SAP functional consultants to understand system requirements, perform impact analysis, and propose technical solutions.
• Manage and execute data migration activities, including data extraction, cleansing, and loading, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Provide expertise in performance tuning and optimization of SAP ABAP programs, ensuring optimal system performance.
• Prepare and execute unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing for SAP ABAP developments.
• Collaborate with SAP Basis and infrastructure teams to ensure system stability, performance, and security.
• Stay up to date with the latest SAP ABAP advancements, technologies, and industry best practices, and apply them to enhance development processes and solutions.
• Participate in the evaluation and selection of third-party tools and technologies to support SAP ABAP development.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including functional and technical specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
• Provide support and guidance during SAP system upgrades, patches, and system maintenance activities.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all work-related activities.

Experience & Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as an SAP ABAP Consultant, with a focus on SAP ECC or S/4HANA. (3+ years )
• Extensive experience in SAP ABAP programming, including developing complex programs, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and reports.
• Strong knowledge of SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, and HR, and the ability to collaborate effectively with functional teams.
• Proficiency in ABAP development tools, including ABAP Workbench, ABAP Dictionary, and SAP Enhancement Framework.
• Expertise in ABAP Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and techniques.
• In-depth understanding of SAP integration technologies, such as IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and Web Services.
• Proven experience in performance tuning and optimization of SAP ABAP programs.
• Ability to guide and mentor junior team members.
• capacity to analyze complex business requirements and design effective technical solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, delivering high-quality work within defined timelines.
• Ability to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Experience in data migration using SAP ABAP programming techniques and tools, such as LSMW or SAP Data Services.
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, or other SAP front-end technologies is a plus. (Remove is a plus)
• SAP ABAP certification is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
