As a Tech Lead for the Data Analytics team, you will be responsible for driving the design, development, and optimization of data infrastructure and analytics solutions. You will lead a team of data engineers and analysts, ensuring high-quality delivery of scalable data products that enable actionable insights and support business growth. You will play a critical role in shaping the data strategy, mentoring team members, and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead the design, assembly, and maintenance of large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements. 

  • Architect and implement internal process improvements, including optimizing data delivery, redesigning infrastructure for scalability, and automating manual processes. 

  • Oversee the development of robust ETL/ELT pipelines and data integrations from diverse sources using AWS, SQL, and modern data engineering tools. 

  • Guide the creation of analytical tools and data models that deliver actionable insights into key business performance metrics such as operational efficiency, product usage, and customer acquisition. 

  • Partner with stakeholders across Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams to define data infrastructure needs, solve technical challenges, and ensure data reliability. 

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and analysts, ensuring adherence to best practices in coding, design patterns, and documentation. 

  • Establish and enforce data governance, quality, and security standards to maintain trust in data products. 

  • Drive the design, development, and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and visualizations, ensuring data storytelling that enables informed decision-making. 

  • Conduct and oversee data validation, root cause analysis, and quality assurance to guarantee accuracy and consistency across reports and pipelines. 

  • Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to continuously improve the team’s capabilities and the organization’s data maturity. 

Shape 

Skills and Qualifications 

  • Over 6 Years of proven experience as a Data Engineer / Data Analytics Lead / Tech Lead or in a senior data engineering/analytics role. 

  • Strong background in building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and data sets for analytics and business applications. 

  • Expertise in SQL database design and hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Snowflake, etc.). 

  • Proficiency in Python (or similar languages) for data processing, automation, and analytics. 

  • Solid understanding of data models, metadata, and workload management. 

  • Experience in business intelligence (BI) and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.), including dashboard/report design and data quality testing. 

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work on unstructured datasets and perform root cause analysis on complex processes. 

  • Familiarity with modern data orchestration and transformation tools (e.g., Airflow, Talend Studio, dbt, Microsoft Fabric). 

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business impact. 

  • Experience in mentoring and guiding teams, setting coding standards, and performing code reviews. 

  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on scalability, automation, and data governance.

  • Data Platforms: Snowflake, AWS (Redshift, S3, Glue, etc.) 

  • Orchestration: Airflow, Talend Studio, dbt 

  • BI & Visualization: Microsoft Power BI, Tableau 

  • Data Integration & Transformation: Microsoft Fabric, ETL/ELT frameworks
