Role description

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tax Manager to join our Group Tax team. This position will report directly to the Group Tax Director based in France and will be responsible for all tax affairs in Middle East, Turkey and English-speaking Africa region including but not limited to corporate income tax, indirect tax, tax planning, tax audit and litigation. He/she will collaborate with key departments across the organization, including Legal, Accounting, HR, and business operations. This role is critical to supporting the Group’s international tax strategy, ensuring compliance with emerging tax regulations, and providing hands-on guidance across our regional operations.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Manage the company’s direct and indirect tax compliance obligations across the region
  • Provide proactive tax advice on cross-border transactions (notably bids), group restructurings, and intercompany arrangements
  • Provide strategic tax support to internal teams and stakeholders
  • Review and advise on VAT treatments and ensure timely VAT filings and compliance
  • Review and finalize the Corporate Tax Return and Transfer Pricing related filings prepared by tax advisors
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of TP documentation, contribute to the value chain analysis, and support TP audits
  • Support entities with tax audits and disputes. Liaise with external advisors and authorities on tax planning, audits, and transactions
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and provide recommendations to management on impact and compliance strategies
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of tax-related policies and procedures
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all statutory reports and returns
  • Provide timely reporting to the Central Tax Team based in France
  • Partner with internal departments to ensure that business practices align with tax regulations and company policies

 

Experience

 

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in managing direct and indirect tax compliance in multinational firm
  • Hands-on experience in VAT, Corporate Tax, Transfer Pricing, and Withholding Tax compliance and advisory
  • Experience in dealing with tax audits, tax disputes and managing external consultants
  • Proven experience in tax advisory, compliance, and audits across multiple jurisdictions
  • Strong working knowledge of OECD guidelines and region’s tax laws

 

Qualification

 

  • Master’s degree in tax accounting, tax law or related field
  • Relevant years of experience in an international environment with a Big 4 and/or in the tax department of an international company

 

Core Competencies

 

  • Strong technical knowledge of corporate taxation, transfer pricing, and international tax principles
  • Fluent in English and Arabic. Speaking French would be a plus
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
  • Clear ability to deal with the authorities directly, with demonstration of soft skills as well as technical knowledge and experience
  • Highly collaborative and proactive mindset
  • Resilient, agile, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
