Are you ready to embark on a dynamic journey at the forefront of technology, where innovation meets legacy systems? We are seeking a skilled and motivated z/os Mainframe Engineer to be an integral part of our passionate team.

 

 

 

Your job in a nutshell:

On this position you will have the responsibility to deliver technical support of mainframe systems and software. We are looking for an experienced z/OS & Tools Mainframe Specialists in one of following area: Networking and/or Hardware configuration (IOCDS/HCD). This position is fully remote in polish/czech/hungarian territory. Our business hours cover 8-19 CEST in shifts.

 

What will you be doing:

  • Software lifecycle management: installation, upgrade, maintenance and replacement of software
  • Exploring new product features which can benefit the customer as well as Atos
  • Third line support in case of software errors
  • Assist customers in using the software products
  • Incident, change and problem handling
  • Configuration and customization
  • Setup of parameters
  • Setup of customer dependent parts (e.g. user administration, product calendar, authorization matrix)
  • Documenting
  • Communication with customers and vendors
  • Participation/contribution to technical projects
  • Flexibility and ability to be part of an on call rota (standby) team


Requirements:

  • More than 3 years’ of verifiable experience with z/OS networking or IOCDS/HCD configuration
  • At least 5-8 years’ of verifiable experience as IBM mainframe specialist (zSeries)
  • Depth knowledge and understanding of: z/OS IOCD/HCD configuration or z/OS Networking (Communication server, SNA, TCP/IP)
  • Excellent communication skills in English; German and/or French is a plus
