Your job in a nutshell:

As a Senior Mainframe Storage Administrator, you'll be the backbone of our storage infrastructure. Your core tasks involve customizing and maintaining our mainframe storage environments, ensuring they operate seamlessly. Your expertise in JCL, z/OS system operations, and REXX scripting will be pivotal in managing storage capacity, resolving incidents, and providing essential on-call support. Collaborating with teams and clients, you'll drive system improvements, upgrades, and testing to guarantee top-notch service delivery

 

What will you be doing:

  • Monitor and manage storage capacity to ensure optimal performance and prevent potential issues due to insufficient space
  • Oversee and manage PPRC (Peer-to-Peer Remote Copy) setup and ongoing monitoring for data replication and disaster recovery
  • Maintain oversight of Virtual Tape Server GRID, ensuring efficient data backup and retrieval
  • Address storage-related incidents, providing troubleshooting, support, and resolution while adhering to company regulations and security standards
  • Actively participate in testing, implementation, and upgrades of storage systems, collaborating with internal teams and clients
  • Work closely with teams and clients to improve service delivery and optimize storage solutions
  • Possibly participate in an on-call rotation schedule to provide immediate support when required

 

Requirements:

  • Stationary availability on Poland/Czech Republic/Bularia/Hungary territory
  • Significant experience in Mainframe Storage: proven track record and extensive experience in mainframe storage engineering and administration
  • Deep knowledge of Storage technologies: including DFSMS-HSM-RMM/CA1, FDR/CA-DISK/SVOS, PPRC, VTS, SMPE, and associated technologies
  • Senior-level JCL Proficiency: extensive experience in Job Control Language
  • Expert in z/OS System Operations: demonstrated expertise in operating z/OS systems
  • Proficient in REXX Scripting: ability to write and maintain REXX scripts efficiently
  • Strong understanding of ISPF, SMP/E, and z/OS: proficiency in these key mainframe tools and systems
