Are you ready to embark on a dynamic journey at the forefront of technology, where innovation meets legacy systems? We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mainframe Security Engineer to be an integral part of our passionate team.

 

 

Your job in a nutshell:

On this position you will be involved in configuration and security management, including configuring firewalls, access controls, and intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS), and keeping security measures up-to-date. Regular risk assessments and evaluations will be conducted to audit the mainframe's security, identify vulnerabilities, and devise strategies to address them. This position is fully remote in polish/czech/hungarian territory. Our business hours cover 8-19 CEST in shifts.

 

What will you be doing:

  • Monitoring and Threat Detection: Tracking mainframe logs and events to identify potential security threats. Performing risk analysis and responding to security incidents in real-time,
  • Manages and maintains RACF security on the mainframe system to control access and ensure data protection,
  • Configuration and Security Management: Configuring, managing, and updating mainframe security measures such as firewalls, access controls, and intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS),
  • Risk Assessment and Evaluation: Conducting regular security audits of the mainframe, identifying security vulnerabilities, and developing strategies to mitigate them,
  • Access Management: Monitoring and managing access to mainframe resources, including granting, modifying, and revoking access privileges,
  • Development of Security Policies and Procedures: Collaborating with the security policy team to develop and implement appropriate mainframe security procedures and policies,
  • Incident Response: Developing and implementing security incident response plans and conducting post-incident investigations,

 

Requirements:

  • Stationary availability on Poland/Czech Republic/Bularia/Hungary territory,
  • Experience working with mainframe systems, including operating systems from the z/OS family,
  • Knowledge of mainframe security tools and technologies such as RACF, ACF2, and/or Top Secret,
  • Ability to analyze security logs and events and respond to security incidents,
  • Understanding of cybersecurity and network security concepts,
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various teams,
  • Certifications in information security (e.g., CISSP, CISM) would be an additional advantage,
