Solution Manager is an influential and customer-facing role, whose main focus is to build credibility with the customer, both for the proposed solution and Atos.
He/she will be engaged in high-value sophisticated solutions providing vision, direction, and management usually to one or more large and sophisticated solution teams resulting in solutions that are compelling, profitable, and deliverable.
This involves building up an understanding of the stakeholder's requirements, defining and improving the solution process and pre-sales processes, and evaluating business value; whilst ensuring compliance with the company and, for existing customers, the account technical standards.
Senior Solution Manager is a technology leader. Prior IT outsourcing presales experience in one or more areas like: Digital Workplace / End user computing, IT infrastructure (Network, Data Center, Application hosting), Hybrid and Public Cloud services, Applications, Cloud Transformations, IT Service Management is essential.
Hands-on experience as Solution Lead (or Solution Architect) for opportunities of 10M EUR+ of TCV is much desired.
Summary of activities of a Senior/Solution Manager
Responsibility for the end-to-end solution of bid projects (bids) of multinational customers or responsibility for significant elements of the solution to the same extent for bid projects with a higher TCV.
Solution
- Development of customer-specific solutions for a wide and complex requirement that can require non-standard solutions and therefore a special degree of creativity, strategic Decisions, and a systematic approach to the creation of solutions
- Responsibility for the development of a convincing solution strategy regarding current, intermediate, and future mode of operations including the migration approach to achieve the FMO Status
- Ensuring all aspects of the solution are aligned to the solution strategy and win themes defined by the bid team
- Ensuring that the solution is tailored to the respective business or technical requirements of the customer.
- Overall management of customer requirements and traceability to the solution
- Managing the Atos approval processes to obtain Solution Sign-Off

- Overall responsibility for determining the solution costs
- Overall responsibility for the definition and management of solution risks, including impact on cost model and transition or transformation plans
Customer Relationships

- Communication at the CEO level with the customer for solution related topics
- Creation of customer presentations for solution related topics
- Ownership of technical sections of bid responses
- Leading solution team during customer meetings
Leadership

- Management of solution team, which could exceed 10 solution architects in a complex multinational opportunity
- Coordination and oversight of Third-Party Providers for solution components
- Development / expansion and targeted maintenance of relationships with external key suppliers.
For this position, you have completed at least 3 years of vocational training with additional interdisciplinary specialist knowledge or a university degree (Bachelor or similar), and you also have many years of professional experience.
Skills
- Excellent knowledge in the areas of ITIL and global delivery processes as well as in the service line-spanning portfolio
- Profound expert knowledge in several areas such as project management, application management, IT infrastructure, quality management, test management, architecture, or administration
- Fluency in written and spoken English is required for this position.
- Fluency in written and spoken German is additional advantage
