About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Global Procurement Bid Manager to join our strategic procurement team. In this role, you will drive the global procurement strategy in key bids, ensuring competitive advantage and strong governance across international projects. You will coordinate activities between GEO Procurement Bid Managers, Category Managers, Bid teams, and stakeholders, while leading negotiations and managing relationships with key suppliers, vendors, partners, and subcontractors. This is a global role with high visibility, requiring collaboration across multiple countries and time zones. You will be involved from the earliest stages of new and incremental business opportunities, adding strategic procurement value and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent Strategic Procurement principles, strategy, and processes by providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Engage early in new and incremental business opportunities to add procurement value and support.
  • Integrate into the business cycle at relevant stages of the Rainbow process, ensuring adherence to procurement and bid management policies.
  • Coordinate GEO Procurement colleagues and global/local Category Managers supporting key or cross-country bids, ensuring governance, communication flow, and risk management.
  • Understand business cases and demand management; challenge requirements where appropriate during the bid phase.
  • Assess, evaluate, and mitigate potential supply chain risks within projects, ensuring global standards for risk mitigation are applied.
  • Ensure competitive advantage for each bid by maintaining an agile, commercially flexible, and competitive supply base governed by strong contractual terms.
  • Review Rainbow requests in detail and provide Level Expert Sign-Off, ensuring compliance and excellence in bids.

 

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience managing partners at a senior level.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build credibility and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in commercial modeling and cost base analysis.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems quickly to drive performance improvement.
  • Ability to handle and mitigate risk through effective strategic planning.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Expertise in negotiation and contract management.
  • Minimum 5+ years in the same or similar role.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).
