As an Associate Partner, you will help reinvent businesses and industries by developing and utilising specialized knowledge of the Financial Services & Insurance (FSI) industry and cross-industry competitive strategies.

As a trusted and respected leader within the FSI industry, your focus will be to sell and handle complex components of an engagement, working closely with clients and their customers to deliver real business change. With experience of working in senior roles in FSI consulting or client side, your strategic recommendations will inspire change in a digitally enabled era and give you the opportunity to collaborate with highly talented peers.

Role and Responsibilities

FSI Consulting within Atos is a business consulting group passionate about business strategy in the digital age for the FSI domain. We operate as “tip of the spear”, leading key engagements for Atos in addition to having our own P&L responsibilities, with the context of a new FSI industry vertical approach to market. In our team we advise clients on business transformation through an analytical approach that combines human-centred design with an understanding of emerging technologies and platforms.

You will be a leader in the industry with accountability for driving sales and new business that deliver real transformation for our clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development of new FSI consulting opportunities that promote our outstanding value propositions in the market (expected sales £2.5m per annum). Revenue will come from a mix of existing FSI account and “new logos”.
  • Being a trusted advisor for clients by understanding their issues and building strategic recommendations to inspire change in a digitally-enabled era.
  • Helping our clients explore and implement ground-breaking strategies that create business value, such as new business models that bring ideas to life, new technologies that can reduce or optimise costs, and design optimal routes to market for new or existing products and services.
  • Contributing to the growth and influence of FSI Consulting through thought leadership and practice development activities.
  • Developing and leading a multi-disciplinary team of hardworking consultants and managers to deliver insights-based, recommendations that execute the strategic agenda of our clients

What Do We Look For In A Successful Associate Partner?

  • Experience in selling high-value engagements by originating new client and prospect relationships and converting opportunities to achieve client and business goals
  • Demonstrable ability to help senior FSI executives determine where to contend, how to differentiate, and how to innovate business models by taking advantage of digital and new technologies
  • Professional networks within FSI that can be used for business growth
  • Ability to originate, handle and convert a healthy ongoing pipeline of FSI opportunities in line with the businesses expectations
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, including the desire to take ambiguous problems and deliver creative and well-structured solutions; as well as applying deep analytical skills to ensure recommendations are informed by data and insights
  • Consistent track record of team and client success, reflecting an ability to run large and complex projects, lead and teach associates, and partner with client stakeholders to achieve common goals
  • Powerful communication and storytelling skills, successfully applying verbal and written communications to influence business leaders with strong points of view
  • Experience and interpersonal skills to thrive in and foster a driven team environment, ability to build direct working relationships across all levels of our and our client teams

Required Professional Expertise

  • 10 years of general consulting (or other equivalent business experience) in the FS&I industry
  • A deep understanding of the challenges facing the industry in the UK and how digital can be effectively utilised to address them
  • Extensive experience of business development: originating significant new business, developing relationships, and successfully converting multiple opportunities
  • Leading teams in sophisticated matrix environments
  • Willingness to travel (domestically and globally) as the work demands
  • Masters degree (MBA preferred) or equivalent professional qualification
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
