We are looking to add Cyber Security Service Dev and Ops Manager to our team! Our team is responsible for initially redefining the customers security service to a mature best in class operation by carrying out remedial upgrade and tuning activities. Atos UK provides a range of Security Services to clients from a purpose built Security Operations Centre (SOC) in the West Midlands! This position will be an extension of that team being for a specific customer based on customer site in Cheshire.

Successful candidates will join a wider, rapidly growing Cybersecurity team that is continually dealing with emerging threats and vulnerabilities


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Solid understanding of technical concepts for services delivered by the team working in an agile/DevOps environment

  • Delivers/directs production of reports information and metrics
  • Management of supporting electronic documentation e.g.operational guides, playbooks
  • Provide business, professional and technical advice to projects and the service delivery work undertaken by the area
  • Functional management of the Sec Devops team
  • Lead and input to customer service reviews and operational security group meetings
  • Work with Client Security Managers to ensure customer satisfaction with services delivered
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key customer contacts, internal delivery units and 3rd party suppliers
  • Accountability for major incident reviews ensuring all necessary actions are undertaken to rectify and prevent recurrence of any major incident
  • Drive or support business development by creating/supporting detailed business cases for changes to services and participation in the IT investment process
  • Financial management of services in scope, includes creation, understanding and management of cost base and recovery of charges
  • Seek opportunities to lower the cost of ownership for services,technology, process and people
  • Handle the delivery of services with suppliers (Atos or third party) to ensure that quality of service and cost effectiveness is maintained
  • Provide service documentation for use within the team and external to the team
  • Delivery of service to SLAs and monthly management reports
  • Analysis of key performance indicators, providing input to improvement plans and delivery of associated tasks


Range of Activities and Tasks

  • Customer service delivery

  • Manage service delivery in scope to SLA
  • Own and participate in resolution of high severity or major incidents through decision making and activity sign off
  • Management responsibility at Change Advisory Boards to provide a ‘service-level’ sign-off of all changes
  • Produce and review/approve costed proposals for new business
  • Participate Security Services at Operational Working Groups and Security Forums with the Customer
  • Build and maintain the relationship with Customer’s Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) and Security organisation
  • Performance management

  • Lead Devops/Functional Manager of a small, dedicated devops team

  • Ensure that outputs from responsible services are maintained to quality standards

  • Lead service reviews with Client Security Managers and customers where appropriate
  • Create/maintain service documentation
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Defining, communicating, planning, implementing and reviewing continuous improvement initiatives for responsible services
  • Proactive management of trends and issues to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery
  • Lead risks and issues management for services within responsibility
  • Ensure all services and changes are aligned to technical strategy
  • Communications
  • Work with Project Managers to ensure Projects are delivered in line with Service requirements, to budget and to time
  • Presentations when required
  • Ensure change impact notifications to customer contacts are timely and accurate
  • Establish effective and regular communications with key Atos interfaces and external parties
  • Provide regular Management and Service reporting as per the group requirements
  • Ensure the necessary controls are in place to manage costs
  • Manage and provide monthly financial recharging information to the Financial Controller
  • Ownership and production of investment cases


Person Specification:

  • SC Security Clearance

  • Born in UK or EU (Customer Security Clearance Requirement)
  • Fluent English language Oral and Written skills

Essential skills:

  • Experience in Cyber Security technology platforms and services primarily SIEM, IPS and VSS

  • ITIL Foundation Certified or equivalent
  • Deep customer & delivery experience
  • Team Leadership
  • Experience of Agile/Devops working practices
  • Experience of ITIL principles
  • Experience of crisis management and providing leadership in such situations
  • Timely decision making & decision quality
  • Management and business process skills and abilities
  • Communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Can make informed decisions on selection and execution of all relevant approaches across a wide field, either in a management or advisory capacity.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills on a regular basis.
  • Demonstrates effective communication, both orally and in writing, with subordinates, colleagues, clients and customers at all levels, both formally and informally.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to organise and prioritise work in an effective manner
  • Knowledge of security platforms primarily (but not restricted to) SIEM, IPS, IDS and Proxy Services
  • A detailed understanding of cyber security topics, the latest trends and threats
  • Information Security certifications
