Role: Venafi & PKI Senior Consultant

Location: Bangalore /Mumbai 

• Cybersecurity – MFA, PKI & Machine Identity is accountable for the enterprise strategy, delivery excellence, and operational maturity of authentication, certificate, and machine identity services.
• This role leads teams or a blended delivery organization responsible for MFA platforms, PKI infrastructure, and Venafi-based certificate lifecycle automation across hybrid and cloud environment 
• Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Governance
•  Own the enterprise MFA, PKI, and machine identity strategy and roadmap
• Establish governance, standards, and guardrails for authentication and cryptography 
• Translate business risk into identity security capabilities and investment priorities
•  Serve as senior escalation authority for authentication or certificate-related incidents
• Influence executive, risk, and architecture governance forums Service & Delivery Management Lead multiple delivery teams or service towers (MFA, PKI, Venafi) •Own service KPIs, SLAs, availability, and continuous improvement
• Drive standardization, automation, and self-service capabilities
•  Oversee capacity planning, and vendor / partner and client relationships
•  Ensure consistent delivery quality across regions or client accounts MFA & Authentication Services
• Define enterprise MFA and passwordless authentication strategy 
• Govern MFA platforms (Okta, Azure AD, Duo) and policy models
•  Drive phishing-resistant authentication adoption (FIDO2, device trust)
• Ensure secure integration with SaaS, on-prem, VPN, and cloud platforms 
• Balance security controls with user experience and productivity PKI & Cryptographic Services 
• Own enterprise PKI architecture and certificate authority strategy 
• Define cryptographic standards (algorithms, key sizes, lifetimes) 
• Ensure resilience through HA/DR and lifecycle governance 
• Lead remediation of cryptographic risks and technical debt 
• Align PKI services with Zero Trust and cloud-native architectures Venafi / Machine Identity Management 
• Own Venafi Trust Protection Platform (TPP) strategy and operations 
• Drive enterprise certificate discovery, inventory, and automation •Integrate Venafi with internal and public CAs 
• Enable certificate automation across cloud, containers, and CI/CD 
• Eliminate certificate-related outages and manual processes Risk, Compliance & Audit Leadership 
• Ensure compliance with NIST, FIPS, ISO, PCI, SOX, and industry standards 
• Partner with GRC teams on control design and evidence production
•  Lead authentication and certificate-related risk assessments
• Reduce audit findings through proactive governance and automation People & Organizational Leadership 
• Lead managers, leads, and senior engineers 
• Develop talent pipelines and succession plans 
• •Coach leaders on technical depth, delivery excellence, and client engagement
• •Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and ownership
• Required Qualifications •6+ years of cybersecurity or IAM experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with MFA, PKI, and certificate management
•  3+ years in a leadership role managing managers or senior engineers
• Proven experience owning enterprise-scale identity services 
• Strong understanding of: oAuthentication protocols (SAML, OIDC, OAuth, RADIUS) oPKI, cryptography, and certificate lifecycle management oMachine identity risk and automation Preferred Technical Experience 
• MFA platforms: Okta, Azure AD, Duo •PKI: AD CS, public CAs, HSMs •Venafi: Trust Protection Platform (TPP)
•  Automation: PowerShell, Python, REST APIs •Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP
• DevOps and container certificate automation (Kubernetes, CI/CD) Recommended Certifications - (One or more strongly preferred) Identity & Access Management •Okta Certified Professional / Administrator •Microsoft Identity & Access Administrator (SC-300) •Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM) PKI & Machine Identity •Venafi Certified Engineer (VCE) •PKI or cryptography-focused vendor certifications •Leadership & Security •CISSP (strongly preferred) •CISM •ITIL Foundation
