DB2 DBA Job Description Must have DB2 DB Design experience(Logical/Physical). Must have DB2 Upgrade Support experience and must have worked on DB2 V10,V11 and V12. Must have Performance Tunning Experience with Mainframe Batch. Must have experience on Performance Tunning of CICS Transactions and setup. Must have DB2 Connect ODBC/JDBC Setup experience/Troubleshooting. Must have experience in Stored Procs, Triggers, UTS Conversions. Must have experience in REXX, CA Platinum & BMC Tools, Omegamon, SYSVIEW etc. Experience with DR Exercise. Must have production support experience with solving production utility failures and other application issues.

Description:

Database Administration skills on DB2. Attend meetings and interact regularly with management, team, and clients to continuously improve services. Participate in On-Call rotation schedule.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree/technical certification in Computer Science or Systems Programming experience.

Specific Requirements:

· Maintaining DB2 Objects using Utilities

· Proactively provide Database structure, usability and performance improvements review query performance reports for inefficiencies and performance issues.

· DB2 Database Refresh and Grants

· Recovery of DB2 Objects, including via REDO SQLs

· Work with Data Architects and physical DBAs to request the implementation or modification of Databases in development, test, QA and production environments.

· Provide consultation and advice on new queries and stored procedures. Review new queries and stored procedures, at application request on a regular basis.

· Senior level JCL Skills
