Key Responsibilities
• Solution Architecture: Lead the design and development of end-to-end integration architectures using SAP CPI and PI/PO, ensuring alignment with business goals and IT strategies.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, fostering best practices in integration, security, and performance optimisation.
• Integration Design: Develop complex integration scenarios for cloud and on-premise systems, including SAP and non-SAP applications, leveraging APIs, BAPIs, IDocs, and various messaging protocols.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to understand requirements and translate them into effective integration solutions.
• Governance & Standards: Establish and enforce integration standards, documentation, and governance frameworks to ensure consistency and compliance across projects.
• Project Delivery: Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and delivery of integration workstreams, ensuring timely completion and high quality.
• Troubleshooting & Optimisation: Lead efforts in troubleshooting complex integration issues, performance tuning, and continuous improvement of integration landscapes.
• Innovation & Emerging Technologies: Stay abreast of SAP’s roadmap, new features, and emerging technologies, proactively recommending enhancements to existing architectures.
Required Skills & Experience
• 15+ years of experience in SAP integration technologies, with at least 5 years in architect-level roles.
• Expert knowledge of SAP CPI and PI/PO, including design, development, configuration, and deployment.
• Strong understanding of integration patterns, security protocols (OAuth, SAML, SSL), and data transformation techniques (XSLT, Java Mapping).
• Experience with cloud integration, hybrid landscapes, and connecting SAP with third-party solutions.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimisation of integration scenarios.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
• Relevant SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP CPI/PI/PO) are highly desirable.
