Senior Technical Consultant– ServiceNow  

 

Location: Remote, some travel expected  

Business Process Consultant – ServiceNow  

 

Role Description:

 

The primary role of the Senior Business Process Consultant is to work closely with customers to gather and document business requirements, work closely with delivery teams to manage development cycles, and deliver process solutions based on business needs, all while considering industry best practice.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage/facilitate client workshops to define “as-is” and ”to-be” processes with Sponsors, Stakeholders, and Subject Matter Experts
  • Demonstrate ServiceNow Platform functionality to customers in workshop settings virtually and in person
  • Communicate with all levels of stakeholders within the customer organization
  • Work closely with Project Manager to deliver on time and within budget Define scope and ensure that design is based on out-of-the-box functionality and customer requirements
  • Rationalize complex information and clearly articulate user needs to make them understandable for both technical and non-technical teams
  • Develop relevant documentation for Waterfall/Agile approaches such as specifications, gap analysis reports, process flow diagrams, and stories Ensure that stories are fully understood and that they include clear acceptance criteria that assist both non-technical and technical testing
  • Provide a bridge between the business and technical teams to ensure a collaborative approach to resolve business problems and technology issues
  • Complete initial backlog refinement to prioritize and estimate stories
  • Assist Project Manager managing sprints through planning, execution, scrum, review and retrospective
  • Assist teams to write detailed test cases and provide support during UAT to verify and document defects and enhancements
  • Manage the backlog refinement reviews to prioritize enhancements and defects against existing stories to minimize scope creep
  • Prepare training materials and hold train the trainer or user training sessions as required P
  • romote continuous process improvement practices through process metrics/KPIs and dashboards

  • Minimum Requirements
  • 5+ years of ServiceNow process consultancy and implementation experience
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator BA/BS Degree in IT, IS or business-related field or equivalent professional experience 
  • Up to 30% travel (non-essential travel has been suspended due to COVID-19) 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of IT business process experience
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage software build/test/deploy processes
  • ITIL Foundations Certification ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with strong presentation facilitation skills (Visio, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, ServiceNow)
