Publish Date:  Nov 27, 2022
Location:

Amstelveen, NL, 1185 MC

Company:  Atos

Let’s bring people, business, and technology together for the digital journey of our clients. What will be your role?

Working as Senior UX Designer at Atos

You will have the opportunity to work on complex and innovative projects, transforming the digital business of our (international) clients. We challenge you to bring your expertise and experience right at where you see possibilities to develop the digital business solutions of the future. Finally, we support you to develop yourself into the direction that best suits you, helping you to shape your career in digital.

As a Senior UX Designer you will work on improving the user experience of our clients’ products and applications. You will go through a process of researching the needs, designing a concept, defining specification, validating and optimizing the designs into actual products – like mobile, tablet, AR & VR, and web applications, while supporting the UX Lead and working on (pre-)sales and

business development activities. As a member of the UX team (UX Designers, UX researchers, Experience Consultants) you will inherently be part of the Design and Innovation team with colleagues in the field of Organizational Change Management, Innovation Strategy, Data & Analytics, consisting of 35

people. The challenges we would like you to join us in are for example to design, test and support the agile implementation of an Automated Intelligence solution, or facilitate stakeholder sessions to discover new business opportunities. The projects that we run are mostly large scale (inter-)national projects and you can work either on site with the client, at our Atos office in Amstelveen and partly from home.

As a Senior UX Designer you have the following responsibilities:

  • Creating and delivering multiple artifacts, like wireframes, high-fidelity designs, prototypes, service blueprints, journey maps, and user personas.

  • Analyzing usage metrics and user feedback to identify improvements in the products or designs

  • Guiding users through usability tests or user tests

  • Facilitating design and brainstorm workshops to get to the bottom of the problem we are trying to solve

  • Working closely with stakeholders, product owners and product management teams to create user

    friendly product visions

  • Working broadly with design, product management, content strategy, engineering, and marketing, internally and for external customers

  • Supporting sales team with pitching and bids to ensure department continuity

  1. A typical day for a Senior UX Designer:

    That is the nice thing; there is no typical day; it depends on the client and the project you are working on.

    • You start with a UX stand-up where you hear about the movie one of your colleagues saw over the

      weekend, you hear about his playback of the designs to the stakeholders, and you provide him with some

      inspiration on improving the designs.

    • Afterwards you agree with the UX Design Lead that for the next stand-up you will prepare to share some

      of your lessons learned on executing user interviews.

    • After the daily stand-up on your main project, you sit together with the other designer to divide the work

      and review some of the edits your colleague proposes.

    • Then you get a call from somebody in the sales team who asks if you have time to support on a Bid

      where UX input is required. You plan to read through the material the next morning and schedule a catch

      up afterwards.

    • Later, it is time to answer some emails and schedule a meeting this week with your Business Analyst to

      discuss your approach for validating the designs of the second project you are working on.

    • Then, just before you log off, you notice that on Friday afternoon you have the monthly Design and

      Innovation meeting and drinks at the Amstelveen office afterwards.

      What we offer you:

    • Working on exiting consulting projects along with the opportunity of implementing your own ideas and improvements;

    • Close collaboration with other enthusiastic teams such as organizational change management, digital strategy, Data and AI and operational excellence.

    • Internal and external (technology) courses and certificates;

    • Access to our knowledge library and interdisciplinary e-learning portals;

    • A good salary and attractive extra benefits;

    • Excellent career opportunities;

    • Working in an innovative environment with ambitious colleagues and a committed management team;

    • If applicable to the role; flexible way of working; home-office

      Your skills, capabilities, and experience

      Do you have:

    • A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in interaction design, information design, computer visualization and animation, digital media, media productions or similar qualifications;

    • The ability to comfortably launch and iterate quickly;

    • Passion for quality design and you are not afraid to demonstrate your creativity and your commitment

      with the aid of a valid project portfolio;

    • At least 5 years of work experience around interaction design and/or UX/UI design

    • Knowledge of and know your way around Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD or other design tools

    • Ability to create and script prototypes (would be an advantage)

    • Understanding of agile software development practices and tools (is a plus)

    • Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills

    • Team player skills

    • Good time-management skills

    • Great interpersonal and communication skills

    • Fluent Dutch and English speaking skills on a professional level, both in speaking and writing
