Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scrum Master to join our team. As a servant leader of our Scrum Teams, you will leverage your expertise in agile frameworks and methodologies to guide teams through the software development life cycle. You will foster healthy relationships with Product Owners, fellow Scrum Masters, other Scrum teams, and stakeholders to help teams deliver the most value to our customers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team & Organizational Support:

    • Facilitate and coach the Scrum Team in using Agile practices and principles to deliver value to their customers.
    • Guide the team to a high-performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques.
    • Ensure Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines.
  • Coaching & Development:

    • Coach the Scrum Team in self-organization, developing a T-shaped skillset, and domain knowledge.
    • Increase the effectiveness of Scrum by removing team impediments in collaboration with other Scrum Masters.
    • Actively contribute to the progression and enhancement of Agile practices within the organization.
    • Safeguard the Scrum Team(s) from external interruptions to ensure focus on the Sprint Goal.
  • Collaboration:

    • Work with other Scrum Masters and Agile coaches to grow within the role.
    • Ensure that goals, scope, and product domain are understood by everyone on the Scrum Team.
    • Assist in finding techniques for effective Product Backlog management.
    • Help the Scrum Team understand the need for clear and concise Product Backlog items.
    • Facilitate and support all Scrum events as needed: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.

  • Mandatory Certification:

    • Professional Scrum Master I (scrum.org)
  • Optional Certifications:

    • Professional Scrum Master II / III (scrum.org)
    • Certified SAFe 5 Agilist (scaledagile.com)
    • Certified SAFe® Release Train Engineer (scaledagile.com)
  • Tooling Knowledge (Optional):

    • Jira
    • Confluence
    • ServiceNow
    • Kanban
    • Azure DevOps
    • CI/CD
  • Spoken Languages: English and Dutch
