Why this role, why now
The Dutch Ministry of Defence is strengthening its digital resilience while accelerating the responsible use of AI. That raises urgent questions. Where can AI improve operations without weakening human control? Which data and systems require sovereign choices? How can modernisation move faster with security built in?

 

As a Sales executive, you will turn those questions into opportunities for practical professional services. You will own and grow the assigned framework business, build trusted client relationships and lead opportunities from early qualification through call-off and delivery handover.
This role combines long-term account development with fast, disciplined execution. One day you may shape a secure AI opportunity with senior stakeholders. Next, you may lead a time-critical framework response and assemble the specialist team needed to deliver it.

 

Your commercial agenda
You will focus client conversations on three connected priorities:
1. Agentic AI: identify valuable use cases, move beyond isolated pilots and support governed automation with clear human accountability.
2. Digital sovereignty: help clients make deliberate choices about control of sensitive data, infrastructure, applications and operations.
3. Cybersecurity: build resilience and security into every opportunity, including secure AI, trusted access and mission-critical ICT.

These priorities must connect to a real client problem and a clear outcome. You will favour opportunities that can be repeated or scaled across Defence, the public sector and other regulated environments, rather than disconnected one-offs.

 

Your mandate:
* Own the commercial relationship for assigned Defence framework contracts, covering single-profile and multi-profile professional services opportunities.
* Build an outside-in account view based on client priorities, regulation, security risks, technology shifts and procurement signals.
* Qualify demand early: clarify the client problem, expected outcome, decision process, budget, timing and delivery feasibility.
* Lead mini-competitions, call-offs, proposals, pricing, negotiations, renewals and account growth.
* Shape credible responses with the right mix of Atos and Eviden experts, nearshore teams, subcontractors and specialist partners.
* Bring sales, delivery, bid, resource and pricing teams together early so that every commitment is commercially sound and deliverable.
* Manage pipeline, forecast, margin and opportunity data accurately in Salesforce.
* Protect client trust through disciplined communication, confidentiality, compliance and dependable follow-through.

# improved the quality and hit rate of framework responses;
# converted individual requests into broader, repeatable opportunities;
# strengthened Atos’ relevance in secure AI, digital sovereignty and cyber resilience; and
# maintained forecast accuracy while protecting delivery quality and margin.

 

What you need:
1. At least five years of experience in professional services, IT staffing, framework sales or managed capacity.
2. A record of working with complex procurement and competitive framework responses.
3. Commercial ownership of pipeline, order entry, margin and forecasting.
4. Consultative selling skills: you listen, sharpen the question, challenge assumptions and turn demand into a practical response.
5. The ability to build trusted relationships while actively creating new demand.
6. Calm execution under short deadlines, with close attention to detail and compliance.
7. Fluent Dutch and English, and based in the Netherlands or willing to relocate.

 

Useful, but not essential:
+ Experience with Defence, central government or another regulated sector.
+ Exposure to Agentic AI, digital sovereignty or cybersecurity.
+ Familiarity with public-sector call-offs, mini-competitions and renewals.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary Defence account environment, alongside client executives, bid specialists, delivery leaders and subject-matter experts. You will own the commercial process and bring the wider team together to shape, price and deliver each opportunity.
