SOLUTION ARCHITECT

The IoT Solution Architect within Eviden acts as the manager/guide in projects across the solution lifecycle supporting mainly bids but as well projects in delivery phases. They deliver the end-to-end solution design including costing and migration and ensures the IoT Architecture solution responds to the business requirements of the customers in the most efficient and innovative manner.

You will validate the solution and its deliverability within the Eviden organization (and 3rd parties where appropriate).

You are also specialized on several aspects (technical, procedural, operational,…) in at least one of the following domains: Edge, Communication protocols, IoT Devices, IoT Platform (Cloud & On-Premise), Analytics & Data Science (Machine Learning & AI), Application, Integration, Network & Communications, Identity, Security (PKI, Certificates, Zero Trust) & Risk Management, Business Process Management, Enterprise Architecture Management, Middleware & Content brokers, Managed Services, Low Code Platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse the customer business and technical requirements to ensure the (sub-set of the overall) solution is aligned accordingly.
• Leverage as much as possible standardised portfolio (service catalogue) and associated solution modules/building blocks and combine them to deliver the end to end technical solution. Involve IoT Global Delivery Centre resources for delivery expertise and coordinate their inputs into the technical solution process.
• Lead overall solution that requires Solution Architect expertise of two or more Practices unless a Solution Manager is assigned. Identify appropriate services and delivery areas and ensure their services can be delivered
• Acquire the required solution design approvals from business and delivery according to the existing processes
• Support Procurement and Partner Management for the selection of new 3rd party partners and build a definition of statement of work arrangements
• Provide input to the solution project on migration aspects
• Compile and identify all costs that will be incurred in solution delivery. The costs may consist of standard and non-standard components. Take strategic viewpoints and target costing into account
• Support the solution proposal presentations at customer locations (or virtually) and/or internal offices. Prepare the relevant part of presentation material related with the services, architecture and technology aspects of the solution.
• Ensure that the results of risk assessment are detailed in the Risk Register and are taken into costing
• Throughout project life cycle, identify and assess all risk factors using relevant checklists (risk analysis) and implement all opportunities for improving results
• Devise suitable strategies for risk mitigation (elimination, reduction). Identify and minimize non-conformance costs
• Identify with team members the consequences of Change Requests and incorporate them into Solution Design when applicable.
• Hand-over of customer granted solutions to the transformations / delivery partners at the appropriate and agreed time within the solution life cycle

Essential:

• Proven skills in designing solutions across one or more portfolio areas in environments over >5M Euros External revenue
• Proven track record of delivery in a variety of Technical Architecture roles.
• Experience of applying architectural models to solution design
• At least three years experience as a Solution Architect and 5 years in functions within IT
• Experience of working for an organisation in the IT services or consultancy arena
• Experience in a similar role
• Educated to degree level.
