The opportunity

Ready to make an impact? Atos in the BeNeLux and Nordics region is on the lookout for a dynamic Legal Counsel with 3-6 years of experience to join our energetic legal team with especially focus on Commercial matters. You’ll play an active role in commercial activities, bids, contract reviews and negotiations, tackling daily commercial legal tasks, and support commercial projects for one of the world’s leading tech service providers.

We are looking for a qualified legal counsel whom has hands-on experience from a top commercial law firm or inhouse legal function—ideally in IT or tech services industy. If you’ve drafted, negotiated, and offered advice on all things commercial contracts (think customer, outsourcing, consulting, licensing, hosting, GDPR, and more), you’ll fit right in.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Working closely with our sales and operations departments on all commercial related matters and negotiations
• Support the legal department in general, including implementing and supervising processes
• Manage and coordinate the handling of complex and varied legal and transactional matters.
• Support and provide legal advice for bids, deals and projects
• Review, drafting, and negotiation of a wide variety of commercial contracts working closely with Atos commercial, operational and sales leads ensuring alignment with the Group’s key guidelines for commercial engagements
• Provide expert legal advice to the business
• Advising in contract reviews and approval processes
• Participate in Group Legal Department activities and projects

Practical information:

The position is primarily based in Atos office in Amstelveen, the Netherlands. Limited travel activity is to be expected. Atos has a hybrid working model with a mix of in office and work from home, and we have a high degree of flexibility in our way of working to allow for a good work/life balance. Our work language is English.

Planned commencement of role is as soon as possible.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need a rich combination of experience, knowledge, proven skills, and personal attributes, including.

• Ability to operate as an independent advisor and to build and maintain strong and collaborative relationships both internally and externally
• Ability to manage multiple matters at the same time
• In-depth understanding of how business operates and how legal issues affect the organisation
• Excellent judgement and analytical skills
• High degree of professional ethics and integrity
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Excellent academic qualifications, including law degree, LL.M. or equivalent
• Experience with Legal Tech and AI solutions
• Previous experience in the IT or technology sector or comparable industry and/or experience from lawfirm or inhouse legal function
• Enthusiasm, motivation, flexibility, and proactivity in solving issues
• Good team spirit
