We are looking for an experienced Business Developer to join our Retail and Logistics Industry.


The Business Developer (Retail and Logistics) is responsible for carrying out the strategy to ensure profitable growth of Industry revenues, focusing on securing new business in existing accounts and also new accounts, doing prospective work.


The successful candidate demonstrates internal Retail industry expertise, senior management connections in the industry and knowledge to find new potential opportunities and creates & handles the relationship with client until the successful handover to the bid/pursuit team.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Use own’s Retail Industry Knowledge to explore and assess new opportunities
  • Contribute to the Industry Sales Strategy by bringing Retail industry insights
  • Prospect for potential new clients and new areas in existing clients
  • Define business development plan and single sales strategy using support from Marketing, Consulting, industry experts and product sales specialists, alliances and partners
  • Orchestrate the development campaign preparation: initial value proposition, definition of sales campaigns & client approach strategy
  • Ensure a rigorous pre-qualification & qualification process through the offer gates
  • Build and manage opportunities pipeline on Salesforce until successful transfer to a Sales lead


For this position we need:

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in senior sales positions in the Retail Industry 
  • Networking with CxOs in the organization
  • A customer oriented attitude with a strong commercial mind-set
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly organised and able to handle workload efficiently.
