We are growing our team for the next phase of our strategic defense industry project, further strengthening our position in the sector through our newly renewed long-term contract and are looking for a GIS Developer based in Ankara.

Technical Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Proven 5+ years of experience in software development
  • Proven experience in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) paradigm
  • Experience in developing software applications using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and ArcGIS
  • Experience in developing web-based map applications (WMS and WFS) and interactive map applications over the web
  • Experience with ArcGIS API for JavaScript and ArcGIS Runtime SDK for .NET
  • Experience and knowledge in the following areas:
    • Microsoft Development Technologies
      • .NET Framework
      • .NET Core
      • C#
      • Angular
    • RESTful API design and consumption, including XML, JSON, etc.
    • Web Application Development and Web Services
      • JavaScript
      • HTML5
      • Web application frameworks
      • TypeScript
    • Relational & non-relational Databases
  • Experience with object-relational mapping (ORM) techniques and ORM frameworks/tools (understanding of concepts like concurrency, collections, lazy and explicit loading, validations, or caching)
  • General knowledge of Design Patterns, best practices, and their applications
  • Experience using Configuration Management Systems (e.g., TFS, Git, etc.)
  • General knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI) and DevOps
  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) models
  • General knowledge of Agile Development practices and Scrum

 

Nice To Have Areas of Experience:

  • Silverlight
  • ArcGIS API form Silverlight
  • Extensible Application Mark-up Language (XAML)
  • Troubleshooting and improving software performance

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Design, develop, and maintain software components according to functional and technical requirements.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following coding standards and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality.
  • Develop and execute unit tests, and support integration testing activities.
  • Collaborate with QA, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.

  • Completed military service for male candidates
  • Having a valid National Security Clearance from Ministry of National Defence, Turkey, is a plus
