About the Job

We have successfully completed the modernisation phase of one of our key defence projects and are now starting new work packages under a new contract.

 

To support this next phase, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer based in Ankara or willing to relocate to Ankara. You will take ownership of the day-to-day operation and continuous improvement of our DevOps environment and contribute directly to the reliable delivery of large-scale defence software solutions.

 

This role may be a great fit for you if you have managed Azure Boards, helped establish or maintain DevOps systems, worked with CI/CD processes, or gained hands-on experience in software build, packaging, and deployment activities.


What You’ll Do

  • Manage and maintain Azure Boards, including work items, backlogs, queries, dashboards, and team workflows
  • Maintain and continuously improve existing DevOps environments and processes
  • Build, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines
  • Support automated build, test, packaging, and deployment processes
  • Prepare and manage software installation and release packages
  • Manage source code, versions, dependencies, and release artifacts
  • Support package feeds and artifact repositories, such as npm, NuGet, or similar technologies
  • Work closely with software development, testing, and system administration teams
  • Identify manual or repetitive tasks and contribute to their automation
  • Document DevOps processes, pipeline configurations, packaging steps, and operational procedures
  • Support both on-premises and, where applicable, cloud-based environments
  • Investigate build, packaging, deployment, and environment-related issues and coordinate their resolution

 

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in DevOps, build and release engineering, software configuration management, system administration, or a similar technical role
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, particularly Azure Boards and Azure Pipelines
  • Experience in establishing, configuring, operating, or maintaining DevOps systems
  • Practical knowledge of CI/CD concepts and build and release processes
  • Experience in software build, packaging, installation, or deployment activities
  • Working knowledge of Git or another version control system
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues across development, build, test, and deployment environments
  • Good communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Residence in Ankara or willingness to relocate to Ankara 

 

Nice to Have

The following qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory:

  • Experience with Windows-based software packaging or installer technologies, such as Advanced Installer, MSI, or similar tools
  • Experience with front-end or back-end application packaging
  • Familiarity with npm, NuGet, Azure Artifacts, Nexus, Artifactory, or similar package and artifact management tools
  • Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar technologies
  • Familiarity with Terraform, ARM templates, Ansible, or other infrastructure automation tools
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or other container technologies
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, code quality, or security scanning tools
  • Experience working in on-premises, restricted, or security-sensitive environments
  • A valid National Security Clearance issued by the Turkish Ministry of National Defence
