Tivoli Workload Scheduler Administrator

Your job in a nutshell:

As a Tivoli Workload Scheduler Administrator you will have the responsibility to install, configure, and update existing and new Tivoli Workload Scheduler environments on Mainframe servers.

What will you be doing:

•  Mainframe batch scheduler management;
• Create documentation on TWS configurations and operational procedures;
• Create, edit, and schedule tasks and job workflows within the TWS tool;
• Ensure tasks are appropriately assigned to mainframe resources and run at scheduled times;
• Monitor system performance, track task execution, and diagnose any issues or failures;
• Respond to performance problems or errors promptly;
• Work on optimizing system performance by adjusting configurations and parameters to enhance task processing and reduce execution times;
• Respond promptly to any issues that may arise within the TWS system and take necessary actions to resolve them effectively. 

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Tivoli Workload Scheduler Administrator or similar role in enterprise environments;
• Experience of managing a TWS/IWS environment e.g. configuring the product, applying updates, performing system upgrades, executing disaster recovery and resilience testing;
• Proficiency in configuring and administering Tivoli Workload Scheduler components, agents, and job definitions;
• Good knowledge of a CA-7;
• Strong understanding of job scheduling concepts, dependencies, and workload automation;
• Proven experience in Mainframe batch environment, knowledge of TWS support operations, best practices, and processes;
• Experience with data analytics and strong Excel skills;
• Very good communication abilities;
• Ability to deal with multi-task issues;
• Initiative and good learning abilities.
