Mainframe IMS System Administrator

Your job in a nutshell:

The successful candidate will manage and monitor IMS regions, performs installations, upgrades, and coordinate Mainframe IMS subsystems.

What will you be doing:

• Install, update and coordinate Mainframe IMS subsystems and related ISV products;
• Installing/upgrading IBM IMS subsystem;
• Monitoring of IMS regions, performance tools like Mainview, Omegamon, SYSVIEW;
• Knowledge on administration tasks using various IMS DB/DC Commands;
• Perform changes within Company regulations and security standards;
• Assist with testing, implementation, and installation of new/improved systems, as well as product upgrades;
• Participate in On-Call rotation schedule.

Requirements:

Professional Skills:

• Experience as a IMS System Programmer or in a similar role;
• IMS Level 3 System Program Skills;
• Proficiency in installation, maintenance, problem diagnosis and administration of IMS DB/DC JCL, ISPF, and SMP/E;
• z/OS System level Skills;
• DB2, CICS, REXX.

Behavioral Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving skills;
• Proficient English – level B2 or above;
• Excellent and effective communication skills with management;
• Ability to work effectively in diverse, multi-national and virtual environments.
