Job Description:

Eviden Digital Security Netherlands is seeking an experienced and certified Check Point Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Check Point Security Engineer, one will play a crucial role in safeguarding our clients' IT landscapes by efficiently resolving incidents, proactively preventing security threats, and implementing changes accurately on the first attempt. Key Responsibilities:

  • Check Point Security Implementation: Design, deploy, and maintain Check Point security solutions to protect clients' IT infrastructures effectively.
  • Incident Response: Respond to security incidents promptly, investigate root causes, and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks.
  • Policy Management: Configure and manage security policies, ensuring they align with industry best practices and client-specific requirements.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and fine-tune Check Point systems to improve efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve sophisticated network and security issues related to Check Point solutions.
  • Change Management: Implement configuration changes and updates accurately the first time to minimize downtime and risk.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, security policies, and incident reports.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with multi-functional teams and clients to understand their security needs and provide effective solutions.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • CCSE Certification (or higher): Must have a valid Check Point Certified Security Expert certification or an advanced Check Point certification.
  • 2-5 Years of Experience: Proven experience working with Check Point security solutions and technologies.
  • Incident Response: Solid understanding of incident response procedures and the ability to react quickly to emerging threats.
  • Networking: Solid grasp of network protocols, routing, and firewall concepts.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex issues.
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English.
  • Great Teammate: Collaborative demeanor and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications (not required but advantageous):

  • Certifications: Additional certifications such as CCSM (Check Point Certified Security Master) or CCMSE (Check Point Certified Managed Security Expert) would be a plus.
  • Hands-on Experience: Practical experience with Check Point Maestro, SandBlast, or CloudGuard solutions.
  • Check Point Specific Skills: Proficiency in Check Point solutions, including Security Management Server (SMS), Multi-Domain Server (MDS), Virtual System Extension (VSX), and Maestro.
  • Automation and Scripting: Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python) for security task automation.
