Your Tasks


In your role as a project manager, you are responsible for planning, overseeing and leading projects, from the initial ideation through to completion.
You will work with agile organized software development teams, with system and solution architects, business analysts, test team and you will have strong relations to the system operations organization.
As member of the program organization for alerting systems, you will report to the program manager.
 
Your main responsibilities are:
 

  • management of mid-size projects, with main focus (but not limited to) software development
  • providing and maintaining the project management plan
  • providing statement of work and corresponding work-breakdown-structure
  • planning and coordination of the project resources and work packages
  • face to customer or internal stakeholder regarding the project
  • cost management including planning and forecast
  • management of changes, opportunities and claims in the project
  • monitoring of project progress and reporting to customer and other internal and external stakeholders
  • become a trusted partner for the customer in your area of responsibility 

 
Your Profile
 

  • You successfully completed your Bachelor or Master degree from a technical university
  • You have at least 3-5 years’ working experience as a project manager in ICT projects, preferably software projects with a size > 10’000 hours
  • You lead projects with a size of 10-15 FTE, preferably in the government environment
  • You have HERMES, PMI, IPMA or adequate certification reflecting your track record
  • You are familiar with different delivery models like waterfall and agile and you are able to tailor to the concrete project needs
  • You are proficient in the standard project management tasks
  • You are familiar with standard PM tools like MS project and able to adapt to internal tools for planning, forecasting, KPI-reporting, etc.
  • You have special interests in aspects like requirements management and business analysis
  • You are open minded
  • You are a strategic and tactical thinker
  • You are willing to undergo or owning the Swiss security clearance PSP 10 or 11 (Personensicherheitsprüfung)
  • You can communicate with all levels of stakeholders, suppliers and third parties, on a day-to-day basis. This communication will include face-to-face meetings, teleconferencing and presentations
  • You have very good communication skills and you communicate target group oriented
  • You are tenacious - result and goal oriented
  • You are resilient 
  • You handle conflicts professionally
  • You show a positive attitude and you enjoy making a positive impact on the team and understand how to drive best results from the project team
  • You communicate business fluent in German and English, any other language is an asset
