You will be required to perform basic tasks related to Big Data Platform administration.

You will be responsible for onboarding new application into our platform - granting access, creating HDFS paths, creation of users/application accounts.


What’s more:

- Troubleshooting everyday issues - related to both Hortonworks and/or Linux itself.
- Performing basic hardware maintenance - such as disk replacement (done manually on sight, only software support required).
- Installation of multiple applications/services on Linux (using AIG document).
- Execution of scripts provided by the customers team members.


Must have:

1) Basic knowledge about the Hortonworks Big Data solutions (Ranger, Kerberos, Ambari, Yarn).
2) Basic knowledge about the Linux OS (Red Hat for Enterprises or other).


Nice to have:

1) Basic knowledge of bash.
2) Basic knowledge of virtualization (VMWare)
3) Ability of handling multiple requests simultaneously.
4) Stress resilience.
