Description:    Install, update, administer and debug Mainframe CICS/Transaction Server software and tools and WebSphere/MQ Series z/OS.  Perform changes within Company regulations and security standards. Assist with testing, implementation, and installation of new/improved systems, as well as product upgrades. Attend meetings and interact regularly with management, team, and clients to continuously improve services. Participate in On-Call rotation schedule. 

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree/technical certification in Computer Science and 8 years of CICS/Transaction Server engineering experience.

Specific Requirements:          Required:

         Installation, maintenance, problem diagnosis and administration for Mainframe CICS/Transaction Server software and tools and WebSphere/MQ for z/OS.

 

         JES2/JES3, JCL, TSO/E, ISPF, and SMP/E experience.

 

         Knowledge of CICS Internals

 

         Knowledge of CICS Universal Client or CTG

 

         Knowledge of IPCS

 

         Knowledge of either Tivoli Omegamon/CICS XE or TMON

 

         Knowledge of VPS/DRS Printing Solutions

 

         Knowledge of CAFC, CEMT Batch and EXCI

 

         Knowledge of CICS Performance and Tuning concepts

 

         Knowledge of debugging CICS transaction dumps and reading CICS traces

 

         Knowledge of SMF and RMF

 

         Knowledge of UNIX System Services and HFS

 

         Knowledge of Assembly Language (CICS & MQ exits)

 

         Knowledge of SAF and interfaces for either Top Secret, ACF2 or RACF

 

         Knowledge of either XPEDITER/CICS or INTERTEST/CICS

 

         Basic working knowledge of Networking SNA and TCP/IP concepts

 

         DFSMS Storage concepts and VSAM File Systems

 

         Knowledge of MQ Series Internals

 

         Knowledge of MQ clustering

 

         Knowledge of MQ WAS and WBI

 

         Knowledge of MQ Performance and Tuning

 

         Knowledge of Message Oriented Middleware products and file transfer solutions

 

         Knowledge of MQ high volume E-commerce, EDI or Consumer facing web environments

 

         Verbal and written proficiency in English.

 

Pluses:

         HTTP, JAVA J2EE, C#, ASP.NET, HTML, REXX, COBOL, DB2, ADABAS, IDMS experience.
