1. MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB The CBU Manager will report to NAO Procurement and work closely with the CBU Account team, and other key stakeholders to ensure proper support to the client business unit. The CBU Manager is in charge of coordinating the procurement effort, reviewing the spend and making recommendations to improve the Procurement process, proper engagement of procurement on new projects and business for the account.


To achieve the goals stated above, the Process Manager will be:

1. Procurement SPOC and escalation point for the CBU team

2. Coordinate the Procurement effort to support the CBU

3. Define with the CBU team procurement-related actions to improve the profitability of the account

4. Review spend and other requests to develop standards and catalogs

5. Manage key supplier relationships specific to the CBU



a) Build a strong relationship with the Key Stakeholders of the CBU

b) Coordinate the procurement activities with the appropriate team. CM’s, P2P, OP, Global Procurement

c) Collaboratively develop and implement procurement plan to improve the customer procurement experience to make the account more profitable. i.e. catalogs for standards items, Leveraging Atos preferred suppliers for additional savings.



1. Assist Client Business Unit with their Procurement process. Review current processes and align with the Atos standard policy

2. The CBU Manager will be responsible for building a trusting relationship with the key stakeholders of the account, and understand the contractual commitments to the client

3. The CBU manager will provide assistance to get orders through the Procurement and Committee approvals. Training and guidance will be provided to the CBU for this. The CBU Manager will not be solely responsible for these approvals.

4. Early engagement and involvement with key customer accounts that account for the majority of the Procurement spend

5. Stronger relationships with the Market and CBU teams, to better understand the customer needs to ensure the best Procurement experience

6. More involvement and influence on the spend with key suppliers by providing better forecasting

7. The CBU Manager will provide specific reporting to the CBU regarding spend, SLA metrics (if required), EOL roadmaps and other data required to improve the Procurement process.

8. Strong support to the CBU team to improve customer satisfaction and drive further business to grow the account.

9. Understand the challenges of the CBU and how we need to better support. Really engage with the CBU to understand the contractual commitmments and the nuances of the relationship that make the standard processes difficult.

10. The CBU manager will build relationships with global counterparts if the customer has a global footprint to ensure a complete process is set for international ordering.

11. The CBU manager will work closely with the category managers to discuss projects, supplier issues or requests that they CBU’s have to ensure that all parts of procurement are aligned and working towards the same objectives.

Skills and experience:

- Experienced category buyer with specific experiences in hardware, software, services or indirects

- Strong Customer Relationship skills

- Ability to lead and/or be part of improvement teams

- Resourceful, ability to find a solution when there isn’t a direct path

- Flexible. Ability to shift priorities quickly and multi-task

- Ability to understand process issues and work with the appropriate teams to meet a common goal

- Communication skills

- Action planning and delivery – need to demonstrate hands on approach

- Financial understanding re budgets preparation, monitoring and reporting

- Languages – fluent written and spoken in English
