The Opportunity

We're looking for a motivated and forward-thinking Senior Project Manager to join our team in the UK and help us deliver digital transformation in the Resources & Services (R&S) industry.

 

Responsibilities

As a Senior Project Manager, you will:

  • Plan, scope and cost projects to ensure appropriate detail and scrutiny which are carried out from project inception
  • Deliver the end-to-end activities for projects for Atos R&S clients
  • Delivery of projects according to agreed time, cost and quality metrics
  • Definition and management of resources required for project delivery
  • Development of accurate project plans and budgets and reporting any variances
  • Active management of risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies
  • Management of scope control
  • Undertaking regular reviews of projects with stakeholders, ensuring that stakeholders have key information to inform decisions and handling customer issues accordingly
  • Development, review and mentoring of more junior members of the project team, encouraging continuous improvement of project delivery
  • Manage activity stream leads to produce results in accordance with the methodology being used to deliver projects (either waterfall, small change, or agile)
  • Lead from the front on dealing with customers, and in maintaining delivery behaviours across the project team that centre on confidence, transparency, and control
  • Handle internal and external communications with 3rd party suppliers, internal Atos suppliers, and clients, , IT Engineers and Technicians, 2nd and 3rd line managers, IT/Change colleagues
  • Produce scope, plan and goal for business cases as well as project-specific results.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: minimum 5 years Project Management in a Data Centre Hosting context
  • Knowledge of Project lifecycles, Lifecycle deliverables and their quality assurance as well as Budgeting
  • Processes and Systems as well as Governance and RAID operation
  • Knowledge and experience in Project full life cycle
  • Skills and experience in planning and forecasting, Partner Management, Communication and Reporting
  • Experience and skills in Responsiveness to new challenges on the project
  • Able to Influence, building robust successful relationships with key stakeholders to senior management level
  • Ability to lead and keep people motivated.

 

Skills we like:

Qualifications: Preferred project management training in a formal method such as PRINCE2 or Agile.
