The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Agile Project Manager to join our team! 


Our clients are in various stages of their digital journeys and we require consultants who can help them progress further and to optimise their capability. A key part of this will be to enable, support and manage the successful agile delivery of products, working in scrum teams and using the agile toolset to drive speed and productivity in development, to enhance our customers capabilities and delivering to time, quality, and cost.

 

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

•    Contribute to Atos value propositions and offerings
•    Being the client Product Owner for client Agile initiatives
•    Being the scrum master or project manager for client Agile initiatives
•    Managing Agile projects to adhere to both Atos and client governance frameworks 
•    Advising clients on best Agile practice and how to implement Agile within their organisation
•    Undertaking Agile health checks for clients and make recommendations for improvement
•    Supporting junior colleagues with their personal development in using Agile techniques


Skills we can’t do without:

•    Leader in the benefits and deployment of digital techniques and approaches.
•    People with the ability to enthuse and influence our clients to adopt best practice consulting standards, approaches, and agile project delivery techniques
•    People who can influence senior client stakeholders to adopt and try new ideas 
•    An in-depth understanding of the full agile project management lifecycle of software development.
•    Capability in using basic Workplace technologies e.g., Office 365, G Suite etc.
•    A willingness to learn new technologies
•    Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills, with organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills

 

All successful candidates will have a strong IT Service Delivery background with some ITIL skills, Business Change Management and proven successful Project and Programme Management deliveries using agile methodologies with some consultancy either Business or Digital. 

Client facing consultative skills are key in this role including the ability to ask open engaging questions at all levels, analyse information, test, or develop new hypothesis and develop high quality well-presented client deliverables using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Client facing workshop facilitation experience and strong presentation skills are also required.

 

Skills we’d like:

•   Managing fast paced project and programme deliverables often in challenging circumstances with time constraints, managing client expectations, knowledge of PMO practices, Quality and Productivity, with an understanding of Operational Support models and Service Desk. 
•    Project management skills in both public and private sector roles
•    Experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps adoption
•    Certified Scrum Master
•    Certified Product Owner
•    Exposure to DevOps principles and adoption
•    Experience in managing software development projects
•    Previous experience or interest in working in globally distributed workforce environments, including offshore models
•    Experience defining and integrating digital solutions into an organization`s strategy, vision, and aspirations
•    Exposure to analytics and analytical methods, both prescriptive and predictive
•    Insight to market and industry trends, and their impact on a client

 

UK Business Consulting supports clients UK wide and occasionally works with other GBUs to support international clients.  Candidates need to be fully flexible to operate from client sites delivering work, but recent experience would suggest that on average 2-3 days per week on site would be normal, the balance from any Atos site or from home.
